Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is a 2022 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Doctor Strange.

It is the sequel to Doctor Strange (2016) and the 28th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures (MCU).

The film was directed by Sam Raimi and written by Michael Waldron. It stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Strange, Elizabeth Olsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Rachel McAdams.

Strange saves America Chavez (Gomez), a teenager capable of traveling the multiverse, from Wanda Maximoff in the film (Olsen).
