Season 5 of Station 19 really hurt. Dean Miller died during a call, and it broke all of our hearts. Why did Okieriete Onaodowan leave the series?
In the fifth season of Station 19, one of the original family members died in a heartbreaking way. Dean Miller died on a call, even though Ben tried very hard to save him.
That led to a fight between Miller’s parents and Ben and Bailey over who should take care of Pru.
Pru’s grandparents thought that family was the best place for her, but Miller wanted Ben and Bailey to raise his daughter.
Was death meant to create all this drama? When it comes to TV shows, we often worry that people die for creative reasons, like to move the story along or to help another character grow.

Why did Okieriete Onaodowan Leave Station 19?
It turns out that Okieriete Onaodowan left the show on her own accord. During the fourth season, he talked to the show’s creators about leaving the show. As an actor, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that he wanted to move on to other projects.
Onaodowan isn’t exactly lacking in talent or popularity, either. Look at how well he did in Hamilton. Does he regret leaving? In no way. This doesn’t mean that he didn’t like playing Miller, but actors like to try out different parts and styles.
At the time, it was great to play Miller, and he loved the cast and crew, but he was ready to move on to something else. Even though we get attached to characters, we have to remember that these are the actors’ jobs.

In 2005, he got his diploma from West Orange High School. After getting hurt during practice, Onaodowan stopped playing football for his high school. Because of the injury, Onaodowan began to think about acting as an alternative after-school activity.
Onaodowan Misses Not Playing Miller Not at All!
Although several performers have voiced remorse over leaving hit television programs, Okieriete Onaodowan has stated unequivocally that he does not miss being on “Station 19,” despite his continuous affection for the show and his character, Miller.
In January 2022, the actor hosted a question-and-answer session on his official Twitter account and received a variety of inquiries from followers.
When asked if he missed playing Miller, Onaodowan replied, “Yes.” “I don’t. My time spent with him was flawless. He arrived at a moment when I needed him desperately. I intend to play as many distinct roles as possible.”
According to “Station 19” showrunner and executive producer Krista Vernoff, the actor’s views about moving on from Miller and the series are consistent with her comments regarding the actor’s departure from the series.
In an interview with Deadline, Vernoff stated, “Oak has an enormous spirit and was ready for and desiring new artistic boundaries; I can’t wait to see what he accomplishes next.” It will be strong, profound, and daring because Oak embodies all of these qualities.
