In the beginning of a story about smoking behind a grocery store, Sasaki-kun is on a train heading home after a long day at work. He looks tired and is thinking about what happened at work. His boss gets angry with him and tells him off for being lazy at work.
Because of how you are, the person who works for you makes big mistakes. We have no idea what to do. People like you never get anywhere in life because of this. “Don’t be nice to other people if you want to make it in this world,” says his boss.
Sasaki-Kun has both bad and good things happen to him today. A pretty girl at the grocery shop gives me a coupon for rice crackers as a gift. Yamada is the name of the girl, and she is very close to Sasaki-san.
He feels embarrassed and asks, “What did I do to deserve this coupon?” Yamada’s answer is, “For working so hard every day!” Someone rudely wakes him up from a nice dream he was having about Yamada-san while he was sleeping on the train. Well! It looks like Sasaki’s train got to where it was going.
“Diagoro-san,” he says when he gets home, “you scared me!” “Don’t just start barking at me out of nowhere!” He is scared because he is thinking about something scary when his dog suddenly barks at him. The person who wrote this comic series did a great job giving the dog a line. At that moment, the dog says, “It was the only way.”
Sasaki and Tamaya have a funny chat that starts with Tamaya pulling Sasaki’s leg by saying, “Diagoro was barking at another dog.” In plain English, Tamaya says that Sasaki is a dog.
