Tia Rachel Mock was a contestant on the 22nd season of The Bachelor.

Tia Booth’s announcement of her pregnancy to her husband, Taylor Mock, didn’t quite unfold as she had hoped.

On Sunday, August 25, the 33-year-old former Bachelor in Paradise star hosted a Q&A session on her Instagram Stories, where she addressed fans’ questions about her newly announced pregnancy.

When asked how she delivered the “exciting news” to Mock, Booth admitted that it didn’t go exactly as she had planned.

Booth shared, “I was trying to keep it a secret so I could surprise him and he found the test wrapper in the trash when he went to cut his toenails hahaha.”

In a funny video capturing the moment, the reality TV star showed her open bathroom trash can with the pregnancy test wrapper prominently placed on top. She then retrieved the test and revealed to Mock that a faint “positive” line had appeared.

“I think that’s a false positive,” Mock said in the clip as Booth laughed.

The couple, who got married in November 2023, are already parents to a 20-month-old son named Tatum. They announced in an Instagram video on Thursday, August 22, that they are expecting their second child.
BIG BROTHER TATUM 🥹🥹,” the couple captioned the video, set to the song “Everything We Need” by Wilfred.

On Sunday, Booth addressed additional questions from fans, including inquiries about the sex of her upcoming baby. She shared that the couple has decided to wait until the baby is born to find out.
In a video, she explained, “We’re not finding out this time. It was my idea because I wanted to experience it at least once with our second child.”
She added, “Taylor isn’t thrilled about it; he wants to know, but I’m resisting his pressure. We’ve done genetic testing, but I haven’t looked at the results yet. I’m just waiting for my OB to give me the information on everything.”
Booth also expressed concern that the anatomy scan might accidentally reveal the baby’s sex. “I’m worried I might see something and find out,” she said. “But we’re excited about the possibility of waiting until the birth to discover it.”

In the same Instagram Q&A, Booth mentioned that she and Mock are still debating whether to name their new baby with a name starting with the letter “T.”

“Taylor believes we absolutely can’t have a name that doesn’t start with ‘T,'” she said in a video. “He worries the child might feel left out. I think, though, they might appreciate being a bit different when they’re older.”
