Natalie Portman has revealed a surprising selection for what she considers one of her “most important” roles.

Despite her illustrious career, which includes three Oscar nominations for Closer, Black Swan, and Jackie, she highlighted a very different role as particularly special to her.

In an interview on Today (July 15), Portman mentioned her cameo in an episode of the beloved family animation Bluey, titled ‘Whale Watching’, as holding a unique place in her heart.

“I was a narrator of a nature documentary that they were watching,” she explained of her role in the show. “It’s a very important show for my family and I was really, really honored to get to be part of it.”

She spoke of how she watches the show with her daughter Amalia, seven, and proclaimed: “It’s so wonderful, it’s pure joy”.

Bluey was created by writer Joe Brumm and first premiered on ABC Kids in 2018. The show follows the adventures of a Blue Heeler puppy named Bluey and her family. The series showcases the fun and educational experiences Bluey has with her family and friends.

Bluey has become very popular among children and families. The show has produced three seasons so far, and all of them are now available for streaming on Disney+. Not only is Bluey entertaining for kids, but it also offers valuable lessons that both children and parents can learn from.

The show features one of the most successful TV soundtrack albums in recent years, topping the charts in Australia. The signature tune was composed by Brisbane-based musician Joff Bush.

In other news about Natalie Portman, she recently reminisced about meeting Rihanna during Paris Fashion Week, describing it as “a formative moment in my life.”

This memorable encounter occurred earlier in the year when both attended Dior’s Haute Couture show. They happened to run into each other and exchanged mutual admiration.

“I love you. I am a fucking fan,” said Rihanna to Portman. “You’re one of the hottest bitches in Hollywood forever! You do the most innocent look, and I’m like, ‘Ugh’.”

Portman responded by saying, “I’m gonna faint. I’m gonna black out! I love you and I listen to your music all the time and you’re just such a queen, thank you!”

Natalie Portman recently addressed the speculation surrounding recent photos of her with Paul Mescal outside a pub. The images had sparked rumors suggesting that the two might be romantically involved. Portman clarified that these photos were simply taken during a casual outing and that there was no basis for the dating rumors.
