Paisley was born to Douglas Edward Paisley and Sandra Jean Paisley in Glen Dale, West Virginia, in 1972. When Brad Paisley was eight years old, his grandfather gave him his first guitar and instilled in him a love of country music.
His first public performance was in his church, and by the age of 13, he had written his first song, “Born on Christmas Day,” and had joined his first band, “Brad Paisley and the C-Notes.”
