During his long defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard, Johnny Depp has been staying at the Ritz-Carlton in Virginia, where he has been eating chicken Parmigiana and drinking red wine to relax after a long day in court.
The shocking case was given to the jury on Friday, and they talked about it for two hours before taking a break for Memorial Day weekend. They came back Tuesday to keep thinking about the case.
The Fairfax County Courthouse is about 15 minutes away from the five-star property in McLean, Virginia. The property is connected to a high-end shopping mall with stores like Louis Vuitton and Gucci.
Sources told Fox News Digital that the actor has a suite at the hotel and eats most of his meals at The Palm, a high-end steakhouse with more than 30 locations in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Mexico. About 100 yards separate the hotel entrance from the restaurant.
The “Black Mass” star has often eaten with his bodyguards, lawyers, and other handlers in a private room off the bar that has a curtain and a separate exit.
A source said that Depp usually comes down from his room after the restaurant has cleared out.
According to another source, the veteran actor and his group of friends spend $1,000 a night on fine wines and always order the $37 chicken Parmigiana as their main course.
The restaurant’s walls are covered with the caricatures of its famous customers. Depp’s face was just added last week.
The actor’s picture is near those of wrestler Ric Flair and boxer Mike Tyson. He got into acting because of Nicolas Cage, who is also on the poster. Before getting a spot on the wall, a customer must drop at least $15,000.
Depp put his name on the picture of himself, which shows him with a thin mustache, a goatee, and messy hair.
A customer told Fox News Digital that there was already a “Pirates of the Caribbean” banner above an entrance near where Depp’s secret dining area. The banner had been there for years
Many people were surprised when Depp flew to Europe over the weekend to play at the Royal Albert Hall in London with guitarist Jeff Beck. It’s still not clear if the actor will come back for the verdict.

He is suing his ex-wife for $50 million because she said she was abused by him in an opinion piece she wrote for the Washington Post. Depp says that the article ruined his career and reputation.
Heard is suing Depp back for $100 million, saying that Depp lied about her when his lawyer, Adam Waldman, said that her abuse claims were made up.
