Are Myrla and Gil Still Together?

Even though they decided not to break up on Decision Day, they were together for less than two weeks after the cameras stopped rolling.

“I was caught off guard by how everything went down,” Gil told the experts at November 2021 Married at First Sight reunion. “It’s clear that she felt a certain way, but I had no idea. I didn’t find out until after it was over.”

Myrla denied that money was the only reason they broke up, but the leadership coach told the panel, “After Decision Day, things happened where I didn’t feel safe letting him make financial decisions for us in the future.”

Gil also called his new wife a “Debbie D downer” a lot, which eventually irritated her. “I’ve never been in a relationship where that happened,” Myrla told host Kevin Frazer. “I don’t really know what to do with it, and if you don’t like it, it’s like, “Well, I guess that’s just how that person is.”

Even though the breakup on screen was bad, Gil still thinks the expert’s matching process can work. Gil told YouTuber Lisa Alastuey in a video interview in December 2021, “I don’t think the formula needs to be changed.” “The most important thing is the people.”

“A lot of people aren’t willing to change, and they set these ridiculous standards that, you know, even if they made this person, it wouldn’t work out,” the MAFS alum said, seeming to hint at this ex-high wife’s standards.
