Ozark is an American crime drama television series created by Bill Dubuque and Mark Williams for Netflix and produced by MRC Television and Aggregate Films.

The series stars Jason Bateman and Laura Linney as Marty and Wendy Byrde, a married couple who relocate their family to the Lake of the Ozarks and become money launderers.

The Ozark season 4 finale concludes with the Byrdes finally getting what they want, but at the expense of three major characters dying. Ozark’s creators have previously stated that Ozark season 4 part 2, which will be available on Netflix in April 2022, is the series’ true finale. Wendy and Marty Byrde finally secure funding for the Byrde Family Foundation in Ozark’s final episode, making them politically “bulletproof.” However, when Camila Elizondro convinces Clare Shaw that Ruth murdered Camila’s son Javi, the Byrdes step aside to allow Camila to kill Ruth.

While former Navarro cartel leader Omar Navarro has been removed from the picture by his sister Camila, another issue resurfaces in the form of private investigator and Chicago cop Mel Sattem, whom Jonah promptly executes before the end credits roll.

Ozark’s finale, as expected, is full of unexpected twists. As Marty and Wendy enable the rise of a drug lord who is even more dangerous and cunning than Omar, it becomes undeniably clear that the Byrdes are Ozark’s true villains. Ozark Season 4: Part 2 Spoiler Review: the Byrdes Fly One Last Time Into the Heart of the American Nightmare

After five tense years, Netflix’s “Ozark” has concluded its story with a seven-episode half-season that, for the most part, plays like any other full season.

New threats emerge, and the Byrdes — Marty, and Wendy (Jason Bateman and Laura Linney) — plan to outwit them and keep their family together while appeasing the FBI and continuing to launder money for a Mexican drug cartel.

“Ozark” Season 4: Part 2 keeps the revolving door of chaos swinging, but while it remains watchable and fully binge-worthy, it doesn’t always feel like it’s putting the pieces in place for a definitive conclusion to the show. Much of what happens has a business-as-usual feel to it, as the Byrdes cycle through schemes and come into conflict with various power players.

Even the smallest details begin to sound familiar, such as Marty’s Charlie Brown Blue wardrobe, which appears to consist of the same blue checkered shirt with rolled-up sleeves that we’ve seen him wear numerous times before, in keeping with the show’s color correction.

 However, by the end, “Ozark” Season 4: Part 2 manages to switch things up and deliver a note of finality that makes a dark-hearted yet impactful thematic statement. And with a body count as high as this show’s, it’s not surprising that there are character deaths…
