Christina Ricci says that Jenna Ortega, the young star of Netflix’s smash hit Wednesday, is doing fine on her own. Ricci told Entertainment Tonight that she has no plans to help Ortega become a better person, even though they both became famous at a young age.
“No, you know, Jenna is so smart, sensible, talented, and capable that I don’t think she needs my help or my advice,” Ricci said. “But she’s so smart that I think she’ll do a great job with everything.”
Ortega and Ricci worked together on the movie Wednesday. Ortega played the title character, Wednesday Addams, and Ricci played a teacher at Nevermore Academy named Marilyn Thornhill.

Ortega was worried when she found out that she would be working with Ricci on Wednesday. “When I heard that, I felt like I was really having a panic attack,” she said. Ortega also said that her nerves weren’t much of a problem until the first time she was in costume as Wednesday and they all had to film a scene together.
“It was scary for her to see me dressed the same way she was dressed 30 years ago.

” Ricci, on the other hand, has only said nice things about Ortega and Wednesday’s version of the character.
“Jenna is amazing,” she said, adding that she had seen photos of the Wednesday look before she got to set. The actor said, “It’s such a great modern take.” He also said that it did a good job of staying “true tonally” to the original while making it more relevant today.
Ricci’s big break came when she played Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family (1991) and its sequel, Addams Family Values (1993). This was only a year after she made her first movie, Mermaids, with Cher when she was only nine years old.
Ortega, who is now 20 years old, got her to start with small parts in movies like Iron Man 3 and Insidious: Chapter 2 before becoming the star of the Disney Channel sitcom Stuck in the Middle at the age of 12.
Ortega has become well-known in the years since Wednesday because of her roles in Season 2 of You, the new version of the Scream movies, and many other projects.
As for how Ortega is dealing with her fame, she recently said she wished Wednesday wasn’t such a big hit. “When I was younger, I used to be in a Disney show. I was a little bit of a public figure, used to get recognized, or whatever,” Ortega explained.
She said that her first time in Hollywood was very scary for her. “I didn’t really feel like myself.
Then it started to slow down, and I lived a pretty normal life…
