Jimmy Buffett went to the hospital for a quick checkup and is now there. The singer went on social media early Thursday morning (May 18) to give a report on his health and say that his upcoming show in Charleston, South Carolina would have to be rescheduled.

Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band were set to perform at Credit One Stadium in Charleston on Saturday, May 20. Buffett said that he had health problems that needed to be taken care of right away.

“I had a sudden change of plans this week that affected us all,” Buffett said on Twitter.  “Two days ago, I was just back from a trip to the Bahamas, thawing out from the California “Winter Tour,” and chomping at the bit to get to Charleston.

Buffett hasn’t stopped thanking everyone for their support and well wishes as he puts his health first. “Thank you for your prayers and thoughts, and for your amazing years of loyalty,” Buffett said. “And just remember, ‘Not Yet!'”

The singer didn’t say anything else about his health or why he is in a hospital in Boston. The May 20 show in Charleston hasn’t been rescheduled yet, and the musician’s official website no longer has a list of his tour dates.

Along with Buffett’s statement, his team stated that all tickets will be “honored for the new date.” They told people going to the concert to keep an eye out for an email with more information or to call the people who bought their tickets directly.

The 76-year-old had to cancel all of his 2022 tour dates in September after a “brief hospitalization.” He was told by the doctor to heal and get better.
