XO, Kitty Season 1 Ending Explained!

In Season 1 end of XO, Kitty, both Dae and Min Ho still want Kitty, but Kitty finally tells them how she really feels. Dae thinks Kitty has a crush on Min Ho because he saw how Min Ho looked at her when he saved her onstage, but Kitty tells him she’s been in love with Yuri since Min Ho’s party the night before.

Kitty tells him, “I like boys too!” to reassure him that what they had was real. “I know it’s a lot to take in. I can hardly make sense of it myself.” Dae can’t deal with his broken heart right now, so he says, “I can’t do this now. I’ll never do this!”

Even though it’s the middle of the night in America, when Kitty gets back to her room, she FaceTimes her dad. “I like my female friend, Yuri,” she says, adding that she doesn’t know if she’s bisexual, pansexual, or flexible.

Her dad tells her it’s okay to be confused and still work things out. He’s just glad she’s safe and sound because the FaceTime call after work scared him a lot.

In the meantime, Jina tells Lee that Alex is his kid. Even though there are still a lot of questions to be answered and trust to be built, the three of them and Yuri start putting together their long-lost family.

As everyone at KISS gets ready to go home for winter break, Kitty sends Yuri a text message wanting to talk, but Yuri doesn’t respond.

When the final scores are posted, Q sees that Florian got first place. This makes him sad because he wants Florian to stay, but Dae lost his room and scholarship because he was no longer first in class. Kitty passed her finals thanks to all the work she put into learning.

But before she can celebrate, Jina tells her that she won’t be asked back to KISS because she broke the rules by living in the boys’ room.

Jina had to tell Kitty some bad news, but she finally tells Kitty about how she and her mom are friends. She tells Kitty that Lee was her first love and gives her a letter that her mother wrote to her after she got back from KISS.

Which Person Should Kitty Pick?

At the end of XO, Kitty Season 1, Kitty has three great love interests: Dae, Yuri, and Min Ho. Cathcart, on the other hand, thinks she doesn’t need to make a choice soon or ever.

Of course, Kitty doesn’t need a person,” she says. “It’s cool that she doesn’t have a boyfriend or girlfriend by the end. She’s picking herself and the space to figure out what she wants.”

Cathcart wants Kitty to keep looking at her options and “follow her heart,” because “the best choice you can make is the one that feels right in your gut.” Kim and Choi, two of her co-stars, agree.

Kim, who plays Yuri, says, “I think it will be really cute and adorable no matter who ends up with whom. Choi says that Dae only lets Kitty go “because he knows that’s the only way to respect and love her.”

In March, co-showrunner Sascha Rothchild told Tudum that Kitty’s open-ended love story was meant to celebrate younger generations who are “a little bit more open to dating several people at once” or who have grown up seeing their parents go through breakups.

“As Min Ho says, relationships can be for a reason, a season, or a lifetime,'” she said. Han liked thinking about how “happily ever after” has changed so that young people aren’t expected to be together forever.

Han said, “Kitty’s story was interesting because it showed that you can really be different people at different times of your life.” “It doesn’t mean that someone isn’t important or that you didn’t value their love. It means that they were that love at that time in your life. Then it might help you move on and find new loves.”

Why Did Juliana Leave Kiss in the End?

In Episode 1, we learn that Yuri and Juliana were caught kissing before the KISS welcome party, and Jina tells Yuri that Juliana’s parents have decided to pull her out of school. But that isn’t the case.

In fact, Yuri’s mother used her power to get Juliana kicked out of school and “protect” the image of the Han family. In Episode 9, Yuri talks to her mom about how she let her down by being homophobic.

XO, Kitty Season 1 Ending Explained

“This is my favorite scene from the whole season. It was also the scene I was looking forward to and worried about the most. Kim says, “It’s a turning point for her, for Yuri, and for her relationship with her mom.” “At the end of the day, she just wants her mom’s love and approval for who she is.”

When Jina finds out the truth about Alex, she realizes how wrong she has been and chooses to make things right. The first step is to ask Juliana to come back to KISS, which is good news for Yuri but bad news for Kitty. You can watch Xo, Kitty on Netflix.
