Even though the last episode of The Office aired almost ten years ago, it is still one of the most popular comedies of all time. In fact, Rolling Stone magazine put it at number 48 on a list of the 100 best TV shows ever.
Many scenes and lines from this popular TV show have become part of popular culture today.

And people of all ages love the show just as much as they did when it first came out. But if there's anyone who loved The Office as much as, if not more than, its fans, it would have to be the actors and actresses who worked on the show.
It's no secret that many famous actors got their start on this popular show, like John Krasinski, who has since starred in and directed several movies. But what about the players who weren't in the main group but were on the show all the time?
Well, artists like Andy Buckley, who played David Wallace on The Office, have also been able to keep working after being on that show.
Andy Buckley Had Given Up on Acting Before He Was in the Office!
Andy Buckley got his Bachelor of Arts in political science from Stanford University. He got a typical nine-to-five job soon after he graduated. Even so, he still found time for his hobbies and interests.
Buckley went to the Groundlings Theatre to learn sketch comedy and acting. There, he got to work with comics like Melissa McCarthy and Dax Shepard.
Buckley has had a few small parts in movies and TV shows since 1990. He was in the 1998 movies Forever Love, Running Woman, and The Big Day, as well as the TV shows A Woman Named Jackie, Caroline in the City, Melrose Place, and Pacific Blue.

But at some point in his life, Buckley gave up on becoming famous as an actor and started a job in business instead.
“After I graduated from Stanford, I moved to New York and studied acting. Then I moved to L.A. and tried to act, but I wasn't very good at it. I wasn't really trying, and I wasn't doing things the right way.
Then I said, ‘I've got to get my act together.' In fact, my wife said, “You better get your act together, buddy.” “Merrill-Lynch was kind enough to hire me,” Buckley told Boston Magazine in a 2016 interview.
Andy Buckley Was Chosen for the Office Because He Had Worked in Corporate Finance Before!
Andy Buckley had a hard time getting new acting jobs, so he quit acting and got a full-time job in business. But he decided to try acting again when he ran into famous casting director Allison Jones, who was also from Massachusetts and was looking for players for a new show called The Office.
Buckley chose to give it a shot, and even though he worked full-time at Merrill Lynch, he got the job. It turns out that the main reason he was chosen to play David Wallace was because he had worked in business before.
“She told me, ‘I think they'll like that you're some kind of financial guy, and you might be the right guy.'” Then they gave me a job. There were only a few scenes in that one day.

“After that, I went back to being a stockbroker,” Buckley told Boston Magazine.
“A year later, they called, and I got to do a few big shows near the end of that season. I started doing more before the writers' strike.
Then, when the writers' strike ended in 2008, they used me a lot for the next three seasons, which was great because I got to be in movies and other TV shows. I also got some partners at work because I was out of the office a lot and they were doing most of the work.
Buckley was a regular on The Office, but he never quit his job at Merrill Lynch and treated The Office as a side job. He worked for this trading company for more than 10 years as a financial manager.
What Has Andy Buckley Been Doing Since the Office Ended?
Andy Buckley quit his job at Merrill Lynch in 2012, around the time that the last season of “The Office” came out, so that he could play full-time. Since then, the actor has been in a lot of movies and TV shows, so this turned out to be a good idea.
Buckley was in shows like The League, CSI: Miami, NYPD Blue, The West Wing, and Veep while he was still in The Office.
In the 2010 buddy cop movie The Other Guys, which starred Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg, had a small but important part. In the same year, he got a small part in the movie Life as We Know It, which starred Josh Duhamel and Katherine Heigl.
In 2015, he had a small part in the movie Jurassic World. He has also been in TV shows like Odd Mom Out, All Rise, The Fugitive, and Fubar, which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger. He also has a small part in the thriller film Bombshell, coming out in 2019, and appeared in the short film Lane Five, which came out in 2022.
