In My Happy Marriage Episode 2, Yurie takes Miyo to her room. Yurie tells Miyo that she has heard the rumors about her boss, but in fact, he is a kind man. She then leaves the room. Miyo lies in her bed and thinks about how well she is being treated as if she was ready to be treated badly or even be kicked out of the house.

She wonders if this is because Kyoka thinks she has magical powers just because she is from the Saimori family. Miyo dreams about the night her father put her and her sister Kaya through a test to see if they could see spirits. He opens a box that has a grotesquerie in it, and Kaya sees something coming toward her.

Kaya gets scared and steps back. Her father runs up to her and tells her excitedly that she has Spirit-Sight and will have magical powers someday. Since that night, months have gone by, and Kaya still gets special treatment while Miyo suffers in silence. Miyo watches her dad and stepmom play with Kaya and teach her how to use her magical powers while they talk about her behind her back.

The next morning, Miyo wakes up and makes food. Yurie comes into the kitchen and thanks Miyo for helping her because she is getting old and finds it hard to cook. Yurie gives Miyo Kyoka’s food and then goes. Kyoka asks Miyo to give him food, but he tells her to eat first. She is surprised because she has never been asked to eat first. Kudou refuses to eat because he thinks that she has poisoned the food.

Miyo thinks if she will ever be good enough since she failed again despite having good goals. Kyoka goes to the Anti-Grotesquerie special unit to train the new trainees, but he can’t concentrate because he keeps thinking about what he did to Miyo. He is also worried because this is the first time Yurie has fought so hard for someone.

Kyoka also starts to think that Miyo is different from his other fiancees because they all treated Yurie badly or whined about his house. In the meantime, Koji is getting ready to be there for Miyo if she gets kicked out of the Kudo home. Kyoka goes home and is met by Miyo, who says she’s sorry for her food.

He tells Yurie that even though Miyo comes from a well-known family, she was probably raised in a different way. Yurie says that Miyo won’t just tell them anything, so Kyoka decides to find out more about the Saimori family.
