Early Life
Freddie Mercury was born on September 5, 1946, in the British protectorate of Zanzibar which is now part of Tanzania. His partner was from the Parso community of western India which had origins in the city of Bulsar in Gujarat. Freddie Mercury had a younger brother and sister.
Freddie Mercury’s family moved to Zanzibar so that his father Bomi would continue his job as a cashier at the British Colonial Office. He was born a British subject and he was registered as a citizen of the United Kingdom and its Colonies after the family emigrated to England.

Career

Freddie Mercury’s Death
Freddie Mercury was diagnosed with Aids in 1987 but he continued to record with the Queen on their last album Made in Heaven released in 1995. He eventually died from complications of the sickness at the age of 45. A concert was held to pay tribute to him in 1992 at Wembley Stadium.
