Early Life
Lauren James Elizabeth was born on September 29, 2001, in the famous city of London. She has an elder brother Recce James who also plays for the England National Team and Chelsea Football Club in England.
The two are the first siblings to have represented England in both men’s and women’s football. Lauren James attended Whitton School in Whitton London before she divided to pursue a football career. Lauren James had a passion for football at a tender age as she began to pursue her dreams.

Career
Lauren James was scouted by Arsenal when she was 13 years old and she trained with the boy’s team. She had a significant impact and in no distance time the breakthrough to the senior team. She made history by becoming the second-youngest player in Arsenal’s history to make their debut on October 2017.
After a brief spell at Arsenal, she was announced to have made a move to Manchester United on July 13, 2018. It was reported that she would be part of the squad due to competing in the 2018-19 FA Women’s Championship.
Her debut came in a 1-0 win over Liverpool on August 19, 2018. She eventually scored her first goal for Manchester United in the WSL in a 2:0 win over Liverpool on September 28, 2019. She then signed a four-year contract with Chelsea Football Club on July 21, 2021, and her first goal was scored in a 9-0 win against Leicester City on March 27, 2022. She was awarded the Young Player of the Year at the Women’s Football award for her performance in the 2022/23 season.

Her debut was on September 3, 20022 when she came in as a substitute in the 79th minute during the 2023 World Cup Qualification against Austria. She scored her first international goal during a 4:0 win over South Korea in the 2023 Arnold Clark Cup.
During the 2023 female world cup co-hosted by New Zealand and Australia, she was sent off and banned for two games for stepping on the back of Nigerian forward Michelle Alozie which was reported as violent conduct. England went on to win on Penalties in her absence.
