Starfield is a space simulator, a good first-person or third-person shooter, a base- and ship-building game, and a lot more. There are so many things to do on the site that it’s easy to miss the pages of lessons that are hidden in plain sight. It’s hard to read through all of the lessons, so sometimes people just skip pages.
Some of the information that got lost in the mess could have saved hours of anger when doing hard or repetitive jobs. Once the player can build outposts, it is important to know how to use transfer containers. This knowledge could be lost in the Sea of Stars. Here is all the information you need about them.
Evan Schwab last changed this on September 18, 2023: Many more interior lines have been added to the resources and minerals players will need to build an outpost. We also gave you instructions on how to improve your guns and clothes.
What Do Transfer Containers Do?
Transfer containers are an important part of making life and getting resources easy in Starfield. They let the player get gathered resources from an outpost without having to leave their ship.
This lets the player keep the resources they’ve collected from going into their ship’s store. The goal is to make resource exchanges go more smoothly. Outposts are similar to the idea of making a camp in Fallout, but they are done better.
How to Make a Transfer Containers?
Transferring items from a transfer container to a ship isn’t too hard, but making sure the station has a transfer container that works is a bit more difficult. A few parts are needed to make sure everything works well.
- First, build a base. You’ll need iron, grease, and tungsten to do this.
- Make an extractor next. Once it’s made, use an output link to connect it to the transfer station.
- Make sure to set up a way for the base to get power. If the person doesn’t have it, they won’t be able to move anything from the bins.
- If you can’t land close enough to the transfer container to get to the link, put a landing pad there.

How to Use Transfer Containers?
Even though it’s easy to use to move containers, Starfield’s interface (at least on platforms) can make what should be a simple process confusing. First, you have to dock the ship at any station. Inside the ship, you can get to the inventory system for the luggage hold by using a panel in the cabin.
From there, you should be able to find your way to the base inventory. All that’s left to do is move the things you want to the base or away from it. Make sure to land close to the transfer bins. If you don’t, you might not be able to move to and from them.
Keep in mind that it is possible to move supplies from one outpost to another. This means that the player doesn’t have to go to each outpost to pick up different things. Everything should be able to be moved from one place to another.
This easy-to-use method really does cut travel time by a lot, giving the player more time to do the things that are important to them instead of just wandering around the world. Also, the resources that players gather and move to and from bases are often needed to improve their guns, armor, ships, and other things.
