John Richard Schneider is an American actor and singer and Dee Dee Sorvino is an Emmy Award winning television host and radio personality.

John Schneider and Dee Dee Sorvino celebrated their recent elopement with a wedding party in Hollywood. After their July 23 marriage in Las Vegas, the couple hosted a gathering for family and friends at the Hollywood Museum on August 1, complete with a red carpet event.

The Hollywood Museum is where the 64-year-old Dukes of Hazzard actor and the television host first met about a year ago before their relationship blossomed.

At the event, guests offered toasts to the couple, while singer Rex Smith performed “Let’s Make a Memory” and Eddie Money’s children, Zachary and Jessica Money, sang their father’s classic hit “Two Tickets to Paradise.”
The newlyweds struck a pose in front of the iconic General Lee, the orange Dodge Charger from Dukes of Hazzard, with Sorvino sporting a coordinating orange fascinator. Catherine Bach, a co-star from the series, also joined in the celebration.

The couple’s wedding news follows their respective losses: Schneider’s wife, Alicia Allain Schneider, passed away from breast cancer in February 2023, and Sorvino’s husband, Paul Sorvino, died of natural causes in July 2022, as reported in a release. Schneider had previously expressed missing “every damn thing” about Alicia daily, while Sorvino described Paul as “the love of my life” and “one of the greatest performers to ever grace the screen and stage.”

The ceremony also comes after a few months of scrutiny, as the Secret Service launched an investigation into comments Schneider made about President Joe Biden on X (formerly Twitter). Schneider had responded to Biden’s post criticizing former President Donald Trump, which led to the probe.

Mr. President, I believe you are guilty of treason and should be publicly hung. Your son, too,” John wrote in a since-deleted reply to the post. “Your response is..?,” he wrote, before later denying that he had threatened the president in a statement shared

Five months after making those comments, Schneider revealed his relationship with Sorvino, describing it as “a miracle.” On Grace Begins, The Podcast, he shared that their connection felt divinely orchestrated. “God sent a widower to a widow and a widow to a widower who understands,” he said. “I was ready to give up on everything, but just when the idea of dating again seemed repulsive, I met her—this amazing woman.”
