Actress and singer Hilary Duff’s husband, Matthew Koma, is adjusting his schedule to look after their newborn.
The 37-year-old musician posted a photo on Instagram Stories showing their 3-month-old daughter, Townes, in a full-blown cry, accompanied by a humorous note directed at Duff.
“Got this totally under control @hilaryduff don’t think for a second we’re missing you,” Koma wrote over a blurry photo of Townes crying.
It’s not clear where Duff was or how long she had left Koma on parenting duty. However, Koma, who is also a stepfather to Duff’s 12-year-old son Luca from her previous marriage to Mike Comrie, gave some updates about his other daughters’ recent activities.
“Had a hard talk with Banks and told her if she wants to outrun the whole nepo baby thing she’s gotta start working harder,” he joked on his Instagram Stories over a photo of his eldest daughter Banks, 5, carrying a guitar case. “Open mic nights here we come.”
Koma made sure to include his daughter Mae in the fun as well. On August 10, he posted a photo of the 3-year-old enjoying a piggyback ride, with the caption, “This one wants shoulder rides every day.” Despite the hectic nature of their blended family of six, Duff revealed on the Informed Pregnancy Podcast in July that she and Koma had planned to expand their family with a fourth addition.

“Everyone’s first question is, ‘Was that an accident?’ ” she told podcast host and prenatal chiropractor Dr. Elliot Berlin of her pregnancy with Townes. “No, we actually planned this baby.”
The ‘How I Met Your Father’ star laughed, adding: “I think I’m one of the most impulsive, thought-out people I know.”
Duff said that although Koma jokes about how hectic their life is, he too wanted another child.
“My husband loves to make it seem like I’m so crazy, I’m so nuts. I’m like, ‘Let’s make our life this mayhem, chaotic place.’ But he’s just as down as me. He’s just as crazy,” she told Berlin.
She continued, “When we decided, we’re both the same age, he’s like six months older than me, and I was really like, ‘I need to wrap my head around this. Am I done? Are we done? Because I’m fine with that, but I could go again.’ And he’s like, ‘I think I could go again.’ So we just decided we were going to do this.”
The A Cinderella Story star confirmed that she and Koma are now “definitely done” having kids.
“Matt got a vasectomy two weeks before I gave birth [to Townes],” she said on the podcast.
