0

Sega video game enthusiasts are primed for action, with a third film already confirmed and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 rapidly coming. Following the clip featuring Knuckles, the Echidna (Idris Elba), and Sonic the Hedgehog (Ben Schwartz), fans are arguing over whose characters in the franchise are the strongest.

Who could fight better than Sonic? Perhaps this is Dr. Robotnik’s cunning scheme to incite fans, but Sonic the Hedgehog has an incredibly strong roster. Here are the top 5 Strongest Character in Sonic:

Knuckles the Echidna – The Red Ball of Fury

Knuckles

Knuckles the Echidna must be strong since he is the only one keeping watch over the Master Emerald. Due to Dr. Robotnik’s manipulation, Knuckles first appeared in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (1994) and battled Sonic and Tails.

He is a physically powerful fighter who is well-known for his punches and fiery temper. Knuckles possesses tremendous strength and endurance, whilst Sonic possesses speed and agility. His earth-shattering strikes and strong skin make him an excellent hand-to-hand fighter.

Knuckles’s array of abilities gives him a distinct edge in combat as well. He has the ability to climb, dig, swim, glide, and punch his environment. Knuckles has the ability to harness the energy to increase his own power because he is connected to the Master Emerald.

He can track and wield Chaos energy more effectively than the other characters since he has a greater understanding of it and the Master Emerald. Knuckles the Echidna is a formidable opponent, despite his appearance of being a recluse.

Silver the Hedgehog – A Time-Traveling Powerhouse

Silver the Hedgehog

Silver the Hedgehog, first seen in Sega’s 2006 video game Sonic the Hedgehog, is a 200-year-old monster that travels to Sonic’s timeline in an attempt to destroy him for allegedly destroying the future. He turns into Sonic’s buddy, though, after realizing that Sonic is not to blame for the devastation to come.

Silver has the ability to telekinetically move items with his thoughts. He may not be as swift as Sonic, but he still has the ability to levitate and soar through the air. His primary fighting style is long-range combat, as he can throw large things at his adversaries and deflect blows by erecting a light barrier.

If Silver has all seven emeralds, he can also use a Chaos Emerald to absorb power and transform into Super Silver. Silver can still hold his own and his power should not be underestimated, even though he has never quite been able to defeat Sonic or Shadow the Hedgehog in a battle.

Metal Sonic the Hedgehog – A Robotic Rival

Metal Sonic

Dr. Robotnik created Metal Sonic to be a physical and skill opponent to Sonic. Metal Sonic, who gets his motivation from wanting to destroy Sonic, is well titled since he is a literal metal counterpart of Sonic. In Sonic the Hedgehog CD (1993), he makes his debut, capturing Sonic’s love Amy in an attempt to trap his enemy.

Because of his mechanical shape, Metal Sonic can mimic Sonic’s move set perfectly and even possesses some additional attacks. Using his robotic database to copy and paste the skill set of another form is one of his most lethal abilities. In addition to gaining their abilities, he also acquires the ability to assume their appearance.

Metal Sonic is so merciless that his might is frightening. He lacks emotions as a machine, which would keep his intellect in control and his abilities in balance. His only concern is for his next move against Sonic; he is not concerned about the welfare of other species.

Sonic the Hedgehog – The Fastest Thing Alive

Sonic the Hedgehog

Sonic the Hedgehog, the game’s 1991 title character, is a spunky figure who never skips leg day. Sonic is constantly on the run and searching for pleasure, thanks to his many allies, adversaries, and archenemy Dr. Robotnik. His superhuman speed, which he can use in a variety of ways, is his greatest asset. He can run over obstacles including water, buildings, and other people at the speed of sound.

Because he can manipulate so much of his velocity and direction at such high speeds, Sonic is a very unpredictable fighter. He can easily avoid and counterattack because to his quick reactions. Like his animal counterpart, Sonic enjoys balling himself up to unleash a head-scraping spin move.

Sonic can gain incredible power that amplifies every one of his characteristics when he has a Chaos Emerald. He becomes incredibly difficult to harm, both mentally and physically.

Shadow the Hedgehog – A Lab Experiment Gone Right

Shadow the Hedgehog

Gerald Robotnik’s “Ultimate Life Form” experiment, Shadow the Hedgehog, made his debut in Sonic Adventure 2 (2001). He was created in an attempt to treat every illness, particularly the one that afflicts Maria, Gerald Robotnik’s granddaughter. Sadly, Maria continues to die, and years later, Dr. Robotnik attempts to use Shadow to take down Sonic.

Being aptly named, Shadow has the same strength and abilities as Sonic’s shadow. He easily matches his power, speed, and street smarts. In terms of how he uses the Chaos Emeralds, he even surpasses Sonic. He has time and space control, and can access them as pure energy.

But because of his background in the lab, Shadow is the most formidable character. Gerald painstakingly built him to be nearly immortal so he could complete his healing mission without much hindrance. Thus, Shadow is the strongest character even if he can be halted but not physically vanquished.
