Philomel tries to leave the palace with the help of Nasar because she is afraid that the emperor will kill her if he finds out she is not his real daughter.
Nasar tries to convince her that it is just a lie spread by enemies of the kingdom, but Philomel insists that she is not the emperor’s daughter and asks Nasar to let her go.
Nasar tells Philomel that he has already sent a magic letter to the palace telling them where Philomel is. He says he’s sorry he can’t do what she wants.
Le Guin asks Rexion why he brought him to the magic tower, and Rexion says it’s because he let Philomel go. He says he didn’t think the security team would take her away as a criminal.
When Cardin and Jeremia get there, they ask what’s going on. Rexion tells them that his sister has gone missing and asks them to help him find her. Jeremiah doesn’t want to help, so he leaves with Le Guin.
