A new revival series of King of the Hill is being made for Hulu, and one of the original cast members who will be back for the new episodes gave a report on how things are going.
Since it ended in the late 2000s, King of the Hill has become one of the most famous animated comedies ever made by 20th Television Animation. With so many other shows coming back with new episodes, King of the Hill became a very popular choice for a reboot.
Mike Judge's Beavis and Butt-Head have already come back for a new movie and a revival series, which is currently in its second season. So, it wasn't too much of a surprise when Hulu revealed that King of the Hill would also be getting a revival.
Stephen Root, who voiced Bill Dauterive, Buck Strickland, and many other characters, talked to ScreenRant about coming back for new King of the Hill episodes. He said that table reads for the group started this month, and he even teased a time jump for what's to come.
What to Know About King of the Hill's New Season?
“I think we're going to jump ahead in time a little bit, so Bobby will be older, and it's going to be interesting,” Root told ScreenRant when promoting the then-upcoming film Paint.
“We're going to start table reads in April, and I can't wait!”
So it looks like the King of the Hill revival is in full swing, but Hulu hasn't said when or how often the new shows will be available. We do know that Root will be back, along with Kathy Najimy, Pamela Adlon, Johnny Hardwick, and Lauren Tom, who were all in the first season of King of the Hill.
