Val can’t sleep, though, because he hasn’t found Khemet and Sefekh yet. It makes him sad to hear that the children are stuck in a cave that is falling apart.

Val runs to the cave, where he finds Sefekh crying but can’t find Khemet. Khemet was stuck behind a pile of rocks and couldn’t get out. Everyone worked hard to get rid of the rocks.

The cave starts to fall apart, though, so Val pushes Pride and everyone else out because he doesn’t want any more people to die. The Knights also take Sefekh away, even though he fought them the whole time.

Val builds a wall of dirt at the entry to keep Pride out, but he can’t get Khemet out. Pride feels powerless because she couldn’t get Khemet out, but all of a sudden, she has an idea. Pride goes back to the cave and tells Val to hold Khemet’s hand and use his skills to take control of the cave.

Khemet could give someone else more power, so Val quickly took charge of the cave. He is able to save Khemet, and Sefekh cries when he sees Khemet and Sefekh again. We see Val’s life in the streets and the day he was forced to sign the contract with the Princess in a flashback.

Val thinks back to how he met Sefekh and Khemet and how, as they kept following him, he slowly grew to care about them. Val almost dies when he falls off the cliff, but Pride jumps after him, calls Stale to her, and they all teleport away safely.
