Garcelle Beauvais isn’t afraid to say what she thinks.
The 56-year-old star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was at the 6th Annual Best Buddies’ Celebration of Mothers event on Saturday. She talked to sources in an exclusive interview about the upcoming season of RHOBH and the drama involving her son, Oliver Saunders, on Vanderpump Rules.
The 32-year-old became involved in the affair between Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss, which made headlines and ended Sandoval’s nine-year relationship with Ariana Madix. This happened after Sandoval was seen kissing Leviss, 28, at a Las Vegas bar, which ended Sandoval’s relationship with Madix.
“It’s clear that he’s my son. We also don’t always make the best choices. “He was definitely divorced at the time,” Beauvais said of Oliver, who has a 2-year-old son with his ex-wife Samantha Saunders.
When asked if she thinks her son has been justified by the drama, Beauvais said it “hurts my heart” that the interaction between her son and Leviss became a plot point on the popular Bravo show.
“I didn’t watch the episode because I didn’t want to,” said Beauvais. “But my friends were like, ‘We felt like Oliver was used.’ They were mad at me. But Lisa Vanderpump has been great, and I’m glad she stood up for him. We’re moving on.”

The reality star also talked about the new season of RHOBH and what it’s been like to film since Lisa Rinna left the show.
“It’s different,” said Beauvais of Rinna, 59, who announced her departure from RHOBH after eight seasons in a statement to PEOPLE on January 5.
“It tastes better. It’s not quite… as… I don’t want to blame her for that, but it is newer. We’re finding out how to be friends,” she said. “There is drama, of course, because there always is, but this drama is different.”
The fact that Denise Richards, who was on the show for two seasons in 2019 and 2020, is back could also add to that “fresh” feeling.
Even though Beauvais couldn’t “speak upon” how Richards’s return happened, she had a lot of good things to say about her co-star.
“I think it was great,” she said of having Richards, who is 52, back on the show. “She made a lot of people laugh. She made a lot of trouble. It was great.”
In February, Beauvais shared a picture of herself sitting at a beautifully decorated table with her co-stars Kyle Richards, Dorit Kemsley, Erika Giradi, Sutton Stracke, and Crystal Kung Minkoff. This showed that filming for season 13 of RHOBH had started.

A month later, Beauvais told sources how the shooting was going and teased, “I think we’re going to get back to old-school Beverly Hills in terms of like glamor and fun, and you know, a little bit of a sisterhood if we can. Even though there will be a lot of trouble. So, I’m excited about it. We just started shooting.”
The reality star also said that she would like to see Lisa Vanderpump come back to the show. She said, “I would love that.”
In January, Rinna and another homeowner, Diana Jenkins, both said they were leaving the Bravo show. There is no date yet for when season 13 of RHOBH will start.
