Kingdom is a historical comic by Yasuhisa Hara. It’s about the time when China was divided into different states at war. It shows how the first ruler of China, Qin Shi Huang, rose to power through the eyes of his generals and troops.

The main character is an orphan named Xin (also spelled Shin) who wants to be a great leader. He joins the army of the Qin and becomes friends with Ying Zheng (Ei Sei), the young king of the Qin who wants to rule all of China.

He also meets important figures from Chinese history, such as Wang Qi (Ouki), Meng Tian (Mouten), and Li Mu (Riboku). Kingdom is like Berserk in that it has an epic size, takes place in history, has war strategies, fight scenes, and focuses on ambition, loyalty, and being a leader.

5. Vinland Saga

Makoto Yukimura’s Vinland Saga is a historical comic that is based on the Viking sagas. It takes place in Europe in the 1100s, when people were exploring and taking over new lands. It tells the story of Thorfinn Karlsefni, a young Viking fighter whose father, Thors, was killed by Askeladd.
